The future of work and learning event, a Palexpo SA event, recognize and assume its social and environmental responsibilities. Aware of the environmental impacts that its activity generates, it seek to reduce them by involving all types of actors in its sustainable development approach, which is intended to be participatory.
 RESPECT FOR THE ENVIRONMENT

In order to limit waste as much as possible, the future of work and learning event uses 99% recyclable carpet. Waste is also recycled up to 75%, sorted at the source and treated by a specialized service provider. They can thus be revalorized.
LOCAL AND RESPONSIBLE CATERING

The Palexpo restaurants have been awarded the GRTA (Geneva Region – Terre Avenir) label for giving priority to products from the Geneva region.
SOLAR AND HYDRAULIC ENERGY

All of Palexpo’s energy consumption is renewable, 20% of which is supplied with Green Vital Electricity of hydraulic and solar origin, an ecological and local energy. In addition, the second largest solar power plant in Switzerland is installed on the roof of Palexpo with its 30,000 m2 of photovoltaic panels. This installation currently covers the equivalent of the annual needs of 1,350 households.
SOFT MOBILITY

Palexpo is well served by public transport. The Geneva Airport train station is a five-minute walk away and bus lines 5, 23, 28, 50, 59 and 66 stop close to the exhibition and congress center. To encourage electromobility, four fast charging stations (20 kW) for electric vehicles have been installed on level -1 of the P12 parking lot.
